Hello there!

I personally welcome you to Everfrost, a literate, fantasy wolf roleplay that takes place in a land completely cut off from the rest of world. Here the wolves have come to seek refuge from the warring lands beyond the mountains. They have lived here for generations in four packs; Crandell, Kintla, Glacier, and Nyack. A war eliminated the original packs, but new wolves have now come to take their place. Four leaders have risen to the challenge of leading this packs in peace, but new problems have arisen.

One pack, Glacier, has found a secret within the neutral lands of the wolves, which has given them powers that the other wolves could never dream of posessing. They call it The Vision, an inacurate term, and they value it above all other things. For months now they have kept it a secret from the rest of the world, but spies are working to find out what they are hiding.

Take your place in the land of Everfrost in one of the four packs or as one of the many loners. As tensions mount and secrets are told, you must learn how to survive in this strange, beautiful land.

SEASON

The leaves have begun to change color and are falling from the trees. Winter is on it's way, and it won't be long before the first snows fall.

TEMPTERATURE
35°F - 72°F
The weather is cooling down now that autumn is here. Sometimes it gets warm, but usually it stays cool.

CONDITIONS
Rainy
The rain has come with the end of summer, ending the long drought. The rivers run strong and floods are common near any bodies of water. Some miss the long, dry, summer days.

[ ]information and rules
If you're thinking about joining Everfrost then this is the first board that you want to visit. In fact, it's mandatory that you visit this board some time before you start creating characters and roleplaying. You'll find that our rules aren't much different than the rules that most boards have, but it's still a good idea to read them so you're aware of our policies and guidelines.

[ ]the land of everfrost
All of the information about the land of Everfrost can be found here, including maps, pictures, and a species guide. Refer to this for the location of certain species, and idea of where the packs are located in comparison to each other, or even a quick snapshot of what the land looks like.

[ ]pack information
Here you can find boards for each of the separate packs on Everfrost: Crandell, Kintla, Glacier, and Nyack. The boards contain vital information to each pack, including registration and hierarchy threads. We encourage you to register for a pack; it's a lot of fun and we always need members.

00
[ ]the bulletin board
This is a place where members can come to find out about what's going on around the site. Inside there is a board for contests, and a board where we will post the winners of our Of The Month competitions. There is a board for the staff to discuss new ideas for the site. It's probably a good idea to visit the bulletin board every once in a while to keep up to date and watch out for tryouts and contests.

00
[ ]character creation
So, you've read through the rules and you want to make your first character? Or maybe you've already made a character and you want to make another? Well, either way, inside there is a form that you can fill out for your characters. Of course, you can use your own format for your biographies, but make sure to include all of the information we require. Then all you have to do is wait for them to be accepted. Once you are accepted then you may begin to roleplay!

[ ]adoption center
Come here to abandon and adopt characters. When someone abandons a character here the character will be put up for adoption and one of the staff will decide who gets the wolf.

00
[ ]classified ads
This is a board where you can present plot ideas to the rest of the site. This is also a board where you can search for wolves to take part in your plots, or to simply find friends, enemies, or mates for your wolves. It's basically an advertising board for relationships.

00
[ ]pup announcements
If your female is pregnant and expecting pups, or has had her pups, post here. The admin will chose the amount of pups born and the stats of the pups (exception to that is when it is for a plot).

[ ]character logs
Here you can let everyone know what your wolf is thinking, feeling, or doing, what posts they are in, how they feel about other wolves, and major events that have happened to them recently. Or you can just post some information about them. This is an area where you can be creative. Do whatever you want!

[ ]crandell pack territory

Crandell Pack covers the smallest amount of territory, but that does not make it any less able to support a pack than the other territories. It is lush, hilly, and slightly mountainous, with a few small lakes and streams. Of course, part of Crandell territory is a canyon, but that is only a small part. There are forests filled with life, too, and even the rocky cliffs near Crandell mountain abound with game. As small as the packlands may be, it can easily support many wolves. Crandell is also the northernmost pack, so it does get the worst of the winter, and it isn’t any cooler in the winter than the other packlands are. Some of the glaciers that give Glacier pack it’s name are so vast that they stretch up into Crandell pack territory as well. Snow in spring and even part of summer is not unheard of, though usually only in the higher elevations. This is an ideal place to live, though it will test the strength of any of it’s occupants.

00
[ ]kintla pack territory
[image]
Kintla was named for Kintla Lake, the largest lake in the territory. It is not as large and Glacier and Nyack packs, but not as small as Crandell. Still in the more northern parts of Everfrost, Kintla gets a lot of snow in the winter. It is lush, but has fewer rivers and streams to feed it’s growth. The four lakes in the land are the main sources of water for the pack. Part of the lake is open hills that eventually turn into mountains. There is even a section of the territory that is known as the rock gardens, where the hills are covered in rocks throughout a large area. Kintla’s territory still mostly is made up of lakes, which means that many moose make their home in the area. Of course, there are many other creatures that are drawn to the lakes, as well as the wolves. This is a good place to live, but Kintla, like Crandell, can be a test of one’s strength.

00
[ ]glacier pack territory

Glacier pack territory is one of the two largest territories in Everfrost, and is equal in size with Nyack pack territory. The northeastern part of the territory is bordered by glaciers, large pieces of compacted ice, looking quite a bit like mountains. This area, including a glacier that protrudes deep into the territory is known as Many Glacier. the rest of the territory is hills, small mountains, marshland, and open forests. It is lush, but not as lush as Kintla pack. The game is less concentrated and spreads out more, which is why the territory is larger than the territories of the other two packs. The territory is cut into sections by avalanche river, which separates the westernmost section from the main body of the territory. During the summer snow melt feeds the streams, rivers, and lakes, sometimes flooding large parts of the territory and creating problems for Glacier pack.

00
[ ]nyack pack territory

Nyack is the southernmost pack in Everfrost. It is lucky enough to be just south enough to have a small herd of bison and some small groups of antelope that wander into it's territory. More than half of the territory is made up of the Nyack plains, an open expanse of grass with few trees that is home to the antelope, bison, and other animals that like to wander the open plains from time to time. The rest of the territory Is mostly forested, but there is a section that is made up of steep hills and valleys, including Two-Medicine Valley, which has some wonderful lore to go along with it's name. There are few lakes and rivers in Nyack territory; just St. Mary's Lake and a large river that extends from the northern end of it. Still, Nyack is a great place for deer; the open forests make it great for them, and they live in abundance there.

[ ]kintla mountain
[image]
Kintla Mountain, at twenty thousand feet, is the tallest mountain in Everfrost. It stands on the western border, some miles below Kintla pack and to the west of both Glacier and Nyack. It stands in a small range that forms the western border of the land, and range which also includes the towering Columbia Mountian. Despite it's height, it isn't always covered in snow. In between Kintla Mountain and a smaller mountain - Owl Mountain - is a pass that was rightly named Kintla pass. Both the mountiain and the pass were named for one of the founders of Kintla pack, who's influence reached far beyond the pack's borders at time.

00
[ ]whitefish lake
[image]
Whitefish lake, a large lake located within Everfrost near the western border, is one of the larger lakes in Everfrost. It is rivaled only by Columbia lake and Hungry Horse Reservoir. It was given it's name because of the large, white fish that have occasionally been seen leaping from the waters. No one is sure what kind of fish they are, and no one has claimed to see on in at least a generation, perhaps two. It is no longer sure if they even exist, though legend says they do. Few of the pack wolves travel to visit Whitefish lake, however, though it is a place where loners will occasionally congregate. The lake is surrounded by forests and marshland, making it a great place to find all of the speciees of deer that reside here in Everfrost, as well as many other species of both prey and predator.

00
[ ]columbia mountain
[image]
Several mountains over from Kintla Mountain stands the monstrous Columbia Mountain. It is the second tallest mountain in Everfrost, standing at about seventeen thousand feet in height. The mountain is even more beautiful than Kintla mountain. It is the highest peak along a ridge of peaks, and stands like a stone wall that guards Everfrost from intruders that would do it harm. Some of the wolves who know the lore of the land view it as a protector and a God, though they refer to it in a different name than the name it was given long ago by one of the founders. Columbia, along with Kintla, are two of the main attractions at Everfrost, and are the pride of the wolves that live here.

00
[ ]hungry horse lake
[image]
Hungry Horse Lake is the largest lake in all of Everfrost. It lies near the northern and western borders, closer to Nyack pack than to any of the other packs. it covers more than twenty-three thousand acres of land and can be very deep in some places. It is home to a few different species of fish, including smaller version of the white fish said to be seen in Whitefish lake. The lake is fed by snowmelt each year, causing it to grown during the spring months, only to shrink again during the warmer summer months. It received it's name because, upon discovering the lake, the wolves found a group of horses that had died there. All that was left were skeletons, and there was no explanation for their deaths.
