No New Posts two-medicine valley

Two-Medicine Valley is a large valley located deep within the hills of Nyack territory. It is famed for the thousands of wildflowers that bloom here every year. They are very colorful; yellow, orange, blue, pink, red, and a multitude of other colors and shades can be found in the valley each spring. The valley is coveted, however, for two specific flowers that grow here. They are said to have medicinal properties, though no one outside of the pack can know for sure if this is true or not. It is assumed, however, that the name comes from the fact that there are two medicinal herbs that can be found here. The secret of the flowers is well guarded, however, and not something Nyack wolves will share openly with outsiders, or even new pack members.

No New Posts st. mary lake

St. Mary Lake, located in northeastern corner of the territory, has a lot of history behind it. Originally, the pack territory borders ended at the edge of the lake, but when a female wolf named Mary died on the shores of the lake, her blood spilling into the water, to protect her family from a rebel wolf, the pack expanded it's territory to include the lake. The lake is small compared to others, but the water is a vibrant blue and bordered by thick forests in mountains. It is said that the waters have healing properties, because St. Mary's (the wolf who died there) blood spilled into it. Even wolves have saints sometimes.

No New Posts nyack plains

Most of Nyack territory, or at least half of it, is made up of a large expanse of plains that continues well beyond territory borders. The plains are home to rabbits, hares, coyotes, elk, deer, bison, and the elusive antelope, making it the main hunting grounds for Nyack, though they do a lot of hunting within Jirai Forest, the second largest half of the territory, as well. The plains extend for miles, seemingly never ending. The wolves of Nyack must be quick, agile, and are generally smaller than some of the wolves in the other packs because these plains are what make up the majority of their territory. Of course, the wolves must be adept at navigating the forest as well.

No New Posts jirai forest

Jirai Forest, the second half of Nyack territory, ranges from thick forest to oepn woodland and is home to many different species of both prey and predator. Somewhere within the forest is where the pack dens, but they are so hidden that no outside could find them. The forest is far too vast. Rumor has it, though, that the pack's dens are somehwere in a rocky part of the forest, perhaps in cave or in ground dens that have been dug around the rocks. The forest is the second hunting ground for Nyack pack. There is plent of game here, even when there is little or no game on the plains, making this a wonderful addition to the pack's lands.

Board Description
nyack pack territory
Nyack is the southernmost pack in Everfrost. It is lucky enough to be just south enough to have a small herd of bison and some small groups of antelope that wander into it's territory. More than half of the territory is made up of the Nyack plains, an open expanse of grass with few trees that is home to the antelope, bison, and other animals that like to wander the open plains from time to time. The rest of the territory Is mostly forested, but there is a section that is made up of steep hills and valleys, including Two-Medicine Valley, which has some wonderful lore to go along with it's name. There are few lakes and rivers in Nyack territory; just St. Mary's Lake and a large river that extends from the northern end of it. Still, Nyack is a great place for deer; the open forests make it great for them, and they live in abundance there.
