longwolf hollows
Speckling the lower side of the Ridge and hidden by trees, these caves weave there way back many yards. The entrances are seldom visible because of the ferns that grow so close to the red stone. In the south wolves make their homes in the larger ones. The western caves are bigger, but house cougars on a regular bases. Few caves are linked together, so small families feel safe staying for a while. This is where loners go when they can find no where else.

spineback ridge
As a wolf travels to the West or to the South, they will be met with one of the most extraordinary views known in Everfrost. The land abruptly cuts off, dropping about 50 feet straight down. Thornback ridge does not separate anything on purpose, but the Whitefall forest continues on its other side. It's sides are firm, not crumbling, and are a dull orange-red. The top of the ridge sticks out, the trees several yards away from the edge and the view from the spots are spectacular. In the forest below, hidden by the trees pressed firmly to its base, caves intersect through the ridge. Many loners live here, having small families camped within the separate caves. It is considered a safe place to raise pups though not all of the caves are livable. [/size]
