Lean legs moved soundlessly across the smooth rock surface, bright emerald eyes scanning the terrain before them carefully. One wrong move and it could potentially be fatal. Black fur quivered against the faint breeze as the wolf continued his progress across the skinny rock ledge which jutted out from the side of the falls. He was feeling rather daring today, wanting to go for a little adventure. Normally he wouldn't test his luck with such foolish meanderings, but he was captivated by the beauty of the falls, and his curiosity got the better of him. Curiosity killed the cat; or dog, in this case. Ears flicked around continuously atop his skull, absorbing the calming sound of the running water, and the crashing as it hit the rocks just below him. He had followed the ledge to a mere height of about fifteen feet when he realized his progress would have to stop there. The ledge was cracked off, eroded into the pile of rock at the base of the falls. It looked like his journey ended there, so much for exploring the great falls. Sighing to himself, Malik manoeuvred around on the ledge, carefully angling himself to start moving back down toward the base of the falls. It was tricky, the ledge was damp with spray from the falls, but he managed to maintain his footing, and slowly made his way to the bottom of the ledge.
Once he reached the ending stretch of the outcrop, Malik kicked off with his hind legs and landed softly on a lush patch of grass next to the pool at the base of the falls. He instinctively shook himself off, sending a hurricane of water droplets soaring off his coat. He was damp now, and a little cooler than he'd like to be, the spray from the falls had done a number on him. He paced toward the pool, lowering his muzzle to the water and lapping up a long, cool drink. Once finished, he hovered over the water for a moment, letting it settle as much as it could. He peered at his reflection on it's surface, he was a large black shape in front of the brilliant blue sky, with nothing but his bright emerald eyes standing out against him. He pawed at his reflection, sending his picture scattering into a series of ripples. He turned away from the pool, tail swaying from side to side as he walked. Perhaps he would just have to lay down near the falls and dry off. It was beautiful here, and he was sure it would be a nice calming place to relax.
He spied a nice, soft looking patch of grass not far from the pool and decided this would be his resting spot. He walked over toward it and lowered his body to the ground. He folded his hind legs by his side and crossed his front paws in front of him. Emerald gaze lifted toward the clear blue sky, heat already collecting in his black pelt as the sun beat down on him. He emitted another gust of carbon from his damp nostrils as he lowered his muzzle onto his front paws. Emerald eyes closed for a moment, ears still rotating atop his head, taking in all the sounds around him. It was peaceful. He would probably have to say this was now one of his favourite places to come. He would have to wander here more often. It was warm and quiet. He began nodding off, thoughts wandering to different times and different places, although his ears still twitched slightly on his skull at certain noises coming from around him. He was only half aware of what was really going on around him at that moment.
Open to anyone who would like to reply :]. I just want to get some interaction going with him.

The sky's blue hue seemed to glow with it's own pride. The clouds floated harmlessly over and behind the sun's orange gaze. Lillith pulled her lips in a smile, that tugged playfully at her jaw. She shifted her paws, and looked back to the black wolf. She looked him up and down, her eyes occasionally looking into his. She made her expression soft. Lillith's green eyes met his once more, and she padded a little closer. His scent flooded her muzzle, and she took it in, as not to forget it's tint. He looked like her in so many ways. He had the same black fur, and the same green eyes. His curiousity shone a bright light upon the black she wolf. She smiled, as this black wolf lapped up water from the spring below Emerald Falls. The black she wolf, named as Lillith, slowly wandered around on the side of the falls. She was hidden in the shadows of the tree's, and watched curiously. She had no fear of this wolf, he didn't look like he meant any harm. He just looked peaceful, and calm. Lillith had a desire for that kinda peace, but she knew she could never. After her past.... But, she had already forgave herself, as has Hanai, she was sure of it. Lillith ignored this fact, and she watched with curious eyes. He wandered to a patch of soft grass. Lillith wondered many things, but instead of thinking "what if" she took action. She swam across the spring, pumping her legs strongly, her green eyes hard and determined. She finally made it to the other side, and shook her fur. She was cold, but she didn't mind. She slowly walked to the stranger, sucking up what strength she had, and while his eyes were closed, she spoke. "The falls are beautiful, aren't they?"

The melodic sound of the falling water rang through his ears, making his mind slip further and further into a coma like state. A weak sigh escaped his nostrils as he shifted his head slightly, finding a comfier position in which to rest his head upon his fore paws. His bushy black tail curled tightly around the edges of his hind legs, emerald eyes remained firmly shut, his mind still only somewhat processing the information around himself. He began to form a picture in his head, it was a small black wolf with a pure white chin. He was squatted in the thick snow, his tiny head cast back and a shrill howl was coming from his mouth. Malik soon came to the realization that this was a younger image of himself, back when he had first decided to break off from his brother, Salem. The young pup's howl ceased, his head lowering back into a normal posture. His brilliant emerald eyes opened, and they seemed to be burning into nothing at all, they just stared. Malik's heart leapt, rousing him slightly from his sleeping state, but not enough to fully wake him.
The image of the young black pup was distorted from his mind as the sounds around him changed. He only subconsciously noticed that the sound of the melodic falling water was disrupted by another splashing sound, this one which was not so rhythmic. Ears twitched atop his skull, trying to place the new sound, but he was too relaxed to pay much heed to it. His shiny black pelt was radiating heat, he felt like he was turning into a furnace, but it wasn't unbearable yet, it was just right. Just as abruptly as the second sound in the water had started, it stopped, and Malik's ears began to twitch once more. Was there someone else there? He didn't know, he was hardly aware of his surroundings. What he was aware of was the back of his eyelids and his wandering thoughts. His nose twitched as he breathed in and out, but the approaching female's scent was masked because she had just crossed the water.
He was in the state just before wake, when a feminine voice called out and nearly scared him out of his fur. The falls are beautiful, aren't they? It definitely hadn't come from his mind, that was for sure. Emerald eyes snapped open, muscles coiling sharply to keep him from jumping off the ground in panic. Muzzle opened and then snapped shut as he managed to contain a yelp of surprise. It wasn't often that he was caught off guard like this, or roused from his sleep, for that matter. His gaze rose to settle on a pure black wolf who was a mere few feet away from himself. He stared for a second, momentarily dazed. Was he looking at himself again? Was this another dream and he was picturing another version of himself? He shook his head softly, gaze traveling over the wolf's body. No, this wolf was too small to be him, there was no white chin, and this wolf was definitely too feminine to be him. He relaxed his muscles, taking some kind of odd serenity in the fact that this was not another apparition of himself.
He slowly rose to his feet, stretching as he did so. Muzzle opened widely as a yawn escaped him. Gaze fell back on the female wolf, nostrils flaring as he allowed her scent to register with him. "Good day, Miss," Malik started kindly, his gaze soft and apologetic. "Sorry for the rather unfashionable response, you caught me just as I was drifting off." He smiled at her in good humour, and dipped his head slightly in greeting. "My name's Malik," He introduced himself easily, letting his tail hang limply at his hindquarters, ensuring the she-wolf that he had no intentions of trying to claim any dominance over her, or that he had any superior thoughts. "And yes, they are very beautiful."

| [atrb=background,http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae183/sigathkerr/Tables/lillithtbleforaccmid.png] "Sorry, I came kinda.... Er, the word? Ah, yes... Suddenly. And, good day, Malik. They call me Lillith." Her fur ruffled in the wind, once again, and again, she was cold. The spray of the falls didn't help, either. She shivered once, and smiled. The cold was not exactly an enemy, but it was unwelcomed at the dawning night. "It's a little embarassing, a wolf like me being cold... I don't get it. Would you mind if just... Went a little farther from the falls? I am freezing, to be honest. Wind and a wet pelt don't exactly.... go together." Lillith barked, gesturing to the falls with her nose. As spay splashed her nose, and she sneezed. Lillith began walking away from the cold water, and the spring. She found a large oak tree, with low branches. She smiled, and jumped into one. There, she sat and again shook herself. She looked down at Malik, and smiled. She must look ridiculous, a wolf in a tree! "So, what's your story?" Lillith asked, while clawing at the branch slowly, nervously. Lillith wandered if she was intruding, perhaps making this wolf dislike her more than he mght have. All she hoped is that he wouldn't judge her, for she always got to the point so soon.

Bright emerald eyes followed the she-wolf's fluid movements, noting her fur swaying with the slight breeze carried across the small pool at the base of the falls. Her fur was wet, he noticed for the first time. She must have been swimming. He then placed the odd sound he had heard while only half conscious, it had been the female swimming. He shook his head slightly in amusement, his long legs shifting slightly as he adjusted his body weight. Ears swivelled toward the female as her voice called out once more. He smiled softly as her apology, shaking his head. "Don't be sorry, Lillith," He started, saying her name slowly, as if testing it. It was a nice name, one he'd never encountered before. "You wouldn't have startled me if I hadn't been napping in the open." His gentle smile remained painted across his muzzle, ears staying tuned to the she-wolf's voice as she continued to talk. He wasn't surprised when she asked to move away from the falls, she looked a little chilly, with her damp pelt. He, on the other hand, could use a break from the beating sun, it was beginning to overheat his dark coat.
"I wouldn't mind at all." He agreed easily, he thought it was only kind to be courteous to a female. He watched the direction the female started off in, and he followed closely behind her. He wasn't sure of her exact destination, but no matter what it was, he wouldn't complain. He followed her to a single lone tree, and was pleased that she'd chosen a spot that could offer him a little shade from the sun. He took refuge in a small gap between the low branches and seated himself on the lush grass beneath, bushy black tail curling neatly around the base of his body. Emerald eyes followed the she-wolf as she sprang into one of the low hanging branches, and he tilted his head in curiosity. A wolf in a tree? That was a sight he'd never come across before. An amused expression fell across his wolfish features, and he chuckled quietly to himself. It seemed this female could turn out to be quite the character. "Do you hang out in trees often?" He asked with a small chuckle, gaze resting upon her slender form just above him.
Another question came from the female, and Malik watched her with a slight intrigue. His story? That was a new question. He noticed her pawing at the tree branch, and took this as a sign of anxiety. Was she worried she was being foolish? He shrugged it off, every wolf was foolish at one point or another. Now, as for his story... What was his story? He didn't really have one, now that he thought about it. He decided it would stick to the short story, since there really wasn't much to tell. "Well, I haven't had a very interesting life, if that's what you mean." He smiled softly, gaze still resting upon her black figure perched in the branch. "My brother and I left out parents when we were very young, and we later lost contact, because we were two very different people. And I wound up here." He had to laugh at himself, he sounded so vague. Almost rude, which was not like him. "I don't mean to be so vague, I just haven't done much in my life," He apologized sincerely, gaze falling away from the female to scan the terrain around them. "What about you? What's your story? I'm sure it's much more interesting than my own."

| [atrb=background,http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae183/sigathkerr/Tables/lillithtbleforaccmid.png] Lillith's gaze fell at the last question. Her story might be more interesting, but she wasn't sure if she should share it so soon. Well, she knew she did with Denali, but they seemed like sisters. Perhaps, if these two were ever close enough... Like her and Denali.
"I am guessing my story would be interesting for you, but it is one I am not so willing to tell so soon. It seems like we have only just met. But I am willing to share with you one piece of my past. I blame myself for the death of my closest friend. I hope that is all you wish to know."
Lillith stretched her legs, and yawned. The sun was slowly making progress, and she gazed at its ominous stare. It reminded Lillith of so much. But, so soon, Lillith saw everything. Hanai's dead, motionless body. The water dripping. The coldness in her packmates eyes. Her loss... It still lingered with Lillith, and the lonliness would never truely leave, would it? So many unanswered questions. It truely was a sad thing. Especially for something that seemed so long ago. Lillith lifted her sorrow filled gaze to Malik. She regretted it that moment, and turned her head away. She needed something, something to make her better.
Her sister. Denali, the pack they joined together. Lillith smiled, and turned her head back to Malik.
"I would love to hear your story now, though. Perhaps I am ready for one. YOu say it may be boring, but let's get my opinion upon that, shall we.
Lillith sat down to show she was ready to listen for a long time. It has been much time since she had been heard a good story, and now she invited him to tell her. Lillith hope she wasn't coming on to strong. She was just tired, perhaps. But, she wanted deeply to have another friend. Maybe this as her chance.

He watched as she gazed at the ground, her expression somewhat solemn and saddened. Why, he had no idea. Emerald eyes remained fixed on the black wolf before him, his haunches settled neatly onto the ground. Ears twitched toward the sound of her voice as she responded to his previous words, and he raised a single eyebrow skeptically. Of course it would only feel like they had just met, they only had just met. Malik released a small sigh, head cocking to the side slightly. She was being even more vague than him, she was very reluctant, and her words came across to him as almost childish. She blamed herself for the death of her closest friend? Why would she tell him that single detail, and nothing else? He figured that would have to be the most interesting part of her story, so why should she even bother mentioning that if she wasn't going to go into depth? People like this frustrated Malik, but being the people pleaser that he was, he pushed the emotion aside, trying to remain polite and level headed.
"Well, I'm sorry to hear that, Lillith." He muttered, tone somewhat tired and distant. Truth was, his tiredness was starting to sneak back up on him, and another small yawn cracked at his muzzle. He noticed that Lillith had done the same, and she stretched out her limbs as well. His attention was dragged back to her as she spoke up again, and he felt his features once again get pulled into a skeptical expression, that was somewhat doubtful. Why did she expect him to share his story so easily when she was so reluctant? He sighed again, shaking his head gently at the female. "What makes you think that I'm willing to share my story so easily, if you're not?" He started, his tone hardening a bit with skepticism. "We only just met, after all." He added quietly, miming her words from earlier. He wasn't trying to come across as rude, but he was tired, and he didn't feel like going in-depth with his history when he had already given her the brief run over of it.
notes; thanks for fixing it up.

| [atrb=background,http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae183/sigathkerr/Tables/lillithtbleforaccmid.png] Lillith looked at Malik with nothing more than her own guilt and sorrow. I'm so sorry... I suppose I assumed you would share something... I am... Lillith's words were far and full of concern. She turned away for a few minutes, wondering what she could do. She hadn't seen her friend in so liong, in ached. And, her best friend... She couldn't speak to for many years. Waiting and waiting was all Lillith ever does. And, waiting aches. What was it about this wolf? It made her feel happy in some way, but... Guilty in another. He reminded her of Hanai...
I can only blame myself... For everything.... Im sorry Malik. Lillith whispered, and turned back to Malik. She forced a smile, her eyes full of sorrow. But, she shook her head, and stood up. She seemed to have shooken off her feelings... And her friends. I'm sorry. I must be so depressing. No need to bring it with me Apoligies. Forgive me? Lillith smiled now, and meaning it.
Slowly, she walked further to Malik, wandering if he had ever experienced her pain. The same hurt she had. Might I ask but one thing... Have you ever felt pain? Hurt and sorrow, guilt mixed with it? She hadn't meant to sound so intruding, but she wanted to know.. If, he could help her out of this. Perhaps, feeling would have to wait, and something new should come in.
Reality. something real, and worth calling true. For all anyone knew, feeling something could be worthless. And, making somehting real meant to abondom what we have.
Bot if it means everything.
Sometimes, I wonder... What would happen if we abaondon our feelings. They seem as powerful as fire, but as useless as grieving for years... But... Should I abandon all that I have? I only wonder, but I suppose I know, inside... If I abandon hat I have, I am empty... Lillith pondered aloud, her gaze to the ground.

The black male's attention remained politely trained on the female before him, his emerald eyes observing her every movement as she decided where to direct herself. His ears perked up the slightest bit as she spoke up again, nodding the slightest bit at her apology. She had no reason to apologize, but he would accept it all the same. A small sigh escaped him as the female's sentence trailed off, her features still full of hurt and sadness. Malik felt sorry for this wolf, he truly did; but when things happened for the worse, you always found a way to move on. A sympathetic expression fell over his features, his leafy eyes softening a bit. He sat patiently as the female looked away, as if recollecting herself, then she returned her attention to him, apologizing yet again. He shook his head lightly, as if dismissing the apology. "No need to be sorry, Lillith," He started, offering her a small, sympathetic smile. "Apology accepted. We all have our moments."
He let his words trail off after that, allowing the female room to speak if she so wished. He remained fixed on his spot on the ground as the other black wolf moved toward him, and although his posture tensed with slight unease of her actions, nothing else showed. She probably didn't even realize her actions. A brow raised slightly at her question, and he offered her a small nod, gaze still fixed on her features. "Of course I have, I felt terrible after my brother and I broke apart. We were very close." Of course, his tale was not near as drastic as hers, but it still hurt him. He could definitely say experiencing the death of a close friend was much more than going separate ways than your sibling. His eyebrow remained cocked as the female went on with her questioning, an he shook his head slightly, somewhat confused by her question. Abandon feelings? Malik didn't believe that such a thing could even be done, that was just foolish. You couldn't be a living thing without emotions. Then all you'd be was an inanimate shell. "You should never abandon your emotions, those are what shapes the person you are," He said simply, in a matter-of-fact tone.

| [atrb=background,http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae183/sigathkerr/Tables/lillithtbleforaccmid.png] Lillith smiled sheepishly now, looking at he ground, wondering what had overcome her. Then, her attention spazzed, and she was looking into Malik's eyes. Okay, then Malik. I mus seem quiet weak now, eh? Lillith laughed conciously. Her green orbs met his, and something lit up. Though she missed Denali, and felt a whole somehwere in her heart, for Denali has not passed crosses with her in some time, but perhaps this new, growing relashion would maybe fill it. She knew it must be wishful thinking, and wondered if it would mean anything to him, but, she felt as though having someone to trust once more may be benificial, and of course, much more.
The sun was begining to enter te middle of the sky, and Lillith gazed at the shadows. This gloomy conversation didn't very fit well with the atmosphere, and Lillith couldn't help but checkle at the irony of it all. It was though it were a sign, but one she ignored in the end. Though she may regret it, she wouldn't mind some horrible consequence. I'm very sorry... I never had a simbling.. The closest thing would be my best friend... And, I haven't seen her in so long... Im terribly sorry, I must be boring you. There she went again! Assuming as ever. Lillith wondered what this wolf's opinion upon her was, and couldn't help but look at him once more, her green eyes glowing, as though taking in his words and silence.
I know your words are truth... But, sometimes 'if' is something we have to cinsider, you know? Lillith looked at the shodws again, longingly. What was their life like? Lillith wondered how she would be living as simply as them, going with the flow, small at first, consuming in the end... Disaster, or peace?

An exasperated sigh left his muzzle, his leafy green eyes cast downward from the female and scanning over the terrain about them. He let his gaze rest on the falls for a few minutes, entraced by their beauty. He could feel his mood quickly wearing down and becoming wary, his body and limbs seeming to weight more than before, his prior feeling of tiredness creeping up on him once again. He let his attention return to the black female as she spoke up again, his ears flicking lightly to pick up her words. He kept his face smooth of all emotion, maintaining a polite appearance even though his body was being dragged down by fatigue. He shook his head lightly at her words, his tail curling around his lower body. "Not weak, you're just tired from what you've been going through." His words were simple and sounded somewhat hollow to his own ears, but he hoped the female took them as sincere.
A small yawn cracked his muzzle, and he once again dropped his gaze from the female, the fur on his sides bristling with aggitation at the display of fatigue. He listened patiently to the female's words again, nodding somberly. She had no siblings, so she wouldn't know the feeling. She was a pity party, this female, not that Malik complained. He could tolerate a lot of things, and this was one he was used too. Many females were emotional wrecks, or self-piting. Overly emotional beings, Malik decided. "It's okay, Lillith. You're not boring me." He returned his gaze to the female, a small, tried smile resting upon his maw. He nodded again lightly, ears flicking back as he answered her. "Yes, I know. I often question the 'what ifs'." He smiled at her again softly, head tilting to the side slightly as his mind starting to retreat into his own muddled thoughts.
