Due to poaching and the human need for land, the wolves from Rendu'elman were driven to the corners of their world, constantly looking over their shoulders. Now that the human population has dwindled to one or two per town, a few brave souls have begun their journey back to the four territories. Most anticipating nothing but barren lands, they think about the stories passed down from their ancestors.
Before man corrupted our world, there were four territories; Sun Lake, Ridge Point, Rolling Valleys and Shrouded Forest. The Great Wolf granted four packs each territory, naming them north, south, east and west. The packs settled in their territories, North taking Sun Lake, South taking Rolling Valleys, East taking Ridge Point and West taking Shrouded Forest. Each pack soon adapted to their territory, taking advantage of the lush undergrowth and plentiful prey.
A decade passed when North pack noticed something truly peculiar. Hovering above a lake in their territory was a strange rock, its sides glinting in the sunlight. The lake rippled, the water lapping at the shores as the rock made its decent into the water. When it was about to touch the water, odd looking legs sprouted from its sides and they darted into the water. When the legs met the soft sand beneath the lapping liquid, the rock whirred and its front lowered, revealing a cave of some sort with odd beings inside. The first stepped out, his body covered by bright colored fur. More and more stepped out of the cave, each having the same colored coats as the first. They carried peculiar logs, each colored like the water- a deep blue.
As the beings made their encampment in the North pack's territory the lead wolf, Birdsong, reported the activity to the other packs. She warned them about what they use, how they managed fire and their appearance. The other packs described how there was litter and feces in their territories that must have been from the beings that North pack described. As the wolves pondered what these... things could be, the bright-coats (the name the wolves gave them) began destroying the territories, leaving desolate wastelands. They had sticks that made loud bangs, poles that shocked you like lightning, and long silver, detachable fangs. The wolves soon grew a fear of the bright-coats, and fled from their territories. To some, it was a benefit since their territory no longer harbored enough prey to feed the whole pack. To others, it was like a calling. The Great Wolf spirit was telling them something. "When the wolves return, they will have much more to look forward to. Your pups' pups... they will have something to live for. Then, their destinies to rebuild the four packs will unfold."
