However, after a few minutes Braelyn appeared, putting an end to Myu’s worries. She returned her attention to her small meal, resting a paw on it and tearing out bites of flesh with her jaws. The meat was warm and satisfying, filling her belly just enough to keep her satiated for enough time to find another source of food. Before long she had devoured most of the meat from the bones. It was a small meal since the rabbit had barely had a chance to recover from a long winter, but it was enough. She began to slowly pick at the bones, cleaning them of any remaining scraps and gnawing here and there to find the marrow hidden within. The rabbit’s bones were small and broken under the pressure of her jaws. It wasn’t worth the battle. Abandoning the remains of her kill, Myu stood and waded into the shallows of the small river.
Her muzzle and even her two front paws had blood on them. The water made quick work of the red spots on her paws. Her jaws were covered with more of the red fluid and she dipped it into the water. Some of it was washed away in the current while the rest continued to cling to her fur. She licked her muzzle, ridding it of the last of the blood, and then lowered her head to the water. This time she drank, letting the water wash out her mouth and her throat and refresh her body. It was cool water, fed by the melting snow, and it felt good on her throat.
She looked up from the water and moved her gaze to Braelyn. As each moment passed she found that she liked the female more – something that was strange to her, as she rarely liked anyone. She wasn’t even sure she liked Skolpadda entirely, for all that she had given her loyalty to him. She considered Braelyn briefly, then spoke. “You’re relatively new here,” she mentioned casually. “Have you had a chance to see much of the territory yet?”

text - "speaking" - thoughts
With each bite, Braelyn felt her energy return to her bit by bit, refreshing her limbs, giving her the desire to stand and run. She was not fast because of her large size, but running was still a good thing for her to attempt to do and work on. As a warrior, she did need more strength than she needed speed. Power was important in a fight. To her, it did not matter if her opponent was faster or could hear better than her, she had yet to meet a wolf who could knock her off her feet because of her size and weight. It was a useful thing, but also a burden in a sense, as she was slow and hard of hearing as it was. She often had to strain to hear others and, if she didn't pick up on what they had said, it forced her to ask once more. It was the only thing she did not like about herself, other than the regret she held after not following her brother.
Braelyn's amber gaze flicked to the stream when she finished what meat there was on the rabbit, watching as Myu washed off her paws and muzzle. She redirected her attention to her paws, only finding them a little dirty, but she could certainly smell the blood on her muzzle. She grasped the carcass before her and set it aside, heaving her massive body to its feet. She put herself in motion towards the stream and delicately stepped into it. Her large paws made a splash as they came in contact with the cool liquid. She watched as the blood on her paws were swept away with the water, then stuck her muzzle into the water and held her breath as the blood washed away there as well. She pulled her head out and lapped up some of the water, then turned around to make way back to her spot, giving her pelt a shake.
She sauntered back to her previous sitting place and circled around, laying onto her side and facing the other female once more. Her shredded ears pricked forward when she saw her lips move, speaking to her. What was left of her hearing appendages managed to pick up her comrade's words. She could only nod, "Yes...I am fairly new here." The question following was interesting, something about the territory and how much she had seen. The thought pondered in her head for a moment. She had not seen much, but made sure she explored something different each day, her goal being one to learn where everything in the territory laid. "I make sure to look at something new each day..." Her voice was soft, as per usual. "But I have not yet seen much. The territory is rather large."

When she had first come into contact with wolves after leaving her homeland she had been bitter and angry, chasing everyone away from her and fighting when she could. Fighting had led her to a pack, though she disliked the alpha, and there she had learned loyalty. When the alpha disappeared, leaving his mate in charge, she gave complete loyalty to her, even protecting her from the deadly challenges of another. That had been a long time ago, and from that she had drawn her obsession, which was fading now that she was once more settled in a pack and had a place to put her loyalty. Now she was loyal to a new alpha and a new territory, and so it would remain as long as there was breath in her body.
She was changed, it was true. She would not have been this friendly to someone several years back, or perhaps even before she had joined Glacier pack. The feeling of speaking to someone on normal or even friendly terms was odd to her, but she seemed to be managing it fine. Braelyn helped her remember what it was like to care about someone. That was why she was about to make an offer to the female, when she never would have before. But she waited for the female to respond, giving her a chance to speak before she made her offer.
When Braelyn did respond Myu did not react. It had been the answer that she had expected, and she had a response already planned. “I’ve been here longer than anyone, even Skoldpadda,” she said, a hint of pride in her voice because of her loyalty to the pack. “I know the territory better than anyone else. I was here when the two alphas before Skioldpadda claimed the pack. I was often bored and explored the territory to amuse myself.” She paused for a moment, taking a quick breath and looking at Braelyn carefully. “If you like, I can show you around some.” As she finished she looked away for a moment, her eyes straying to the water that streamed around her legs. Then she turned her gaze back towards the female. “Unless, of course, you’d rather explore on your own.”
ooc;; would you like to put an end to this soon or keep going?

I'll just leave Braelyn's answer to showing her around a yes. I'm leaving today for two weeks, so we can end the thread here if it's no problem. I won't have internet while I'm gone. Ciao~!
