...someone to play a specific wolf.
Yep. I have a specific wolf that I want someone to play. Our departed mod used to play him, so now I need someone else to step up and play the role. Below you will find a description of who I want you to play and what playing him will entail in the future.
name;; Nodin age;; three years (about) gender;; male personality;;He tends to be a bit rebellious in the real world when it comes to authority, unless he's dealing with his family, in which case he'll follow the rules unless there's something that he finds is more valuable than family. He doesn't like being told to do, for the most part, and he'll do what he wants. He's loyal if he feels that it's the right thing to be.
He tends to take risks. He likes to fight, and sometimes he'll be the one to start a fight if he feels that he has a reason to. He gets defensive of his friends and family and will fight to protect them. If he were a human, he'd be the kind who would probably go into the army as soon as he was out of high school.
He's caring. He'll do anything for his loved ones. He has a good heart and tries to do the right thing, even if he seems to have some bad habits and tends to be opinionated. He takes on the opinions of others rather than forming his own, but that doesn't mean he's not capable of forming his own.
Nodin knows quite a few swear words and uses them more often than he should. Occasionally he uses them in regular conversation, but more often uses them when he feels strongly about something. This is a part of his inability to censor his speech appropriately.
For the most part, he's pretty easy going, unless you piss him off or start a fight with him. He stands for what is right and what he cares about. He might not be the brightest star in the sky, but he has a good heart, and that's what he thinks is important. purpose;; Nodin and Airen (my wolf) grew up as friends. Airen always kinda liked Nodin, but never told him, and Nodin had a crush on her. THey were best friends, and when Airen decided to leave their rather controlling pack, sneaking away in the night, Nodin followed her. She told him to go back, but he refused. They traveled together until they were very far away from the pack, and Nodin began to court Airen, claiming that he loved her. She began to believe him and admit her feelings for him. They were close to starting a family when a fire raced through the forest they were staying in, separating them. Airen ended up in Everfrost, not knowing if Nodin was still alive. Nodin ended up elsewhere, not knowing if Airen was alive.
If you create Nodin, the intention is that another wolf will be threatening/upsetting Airen at some point and Nodin will step in to save her. That would be how they would find each other again. Once they reestablish a relationship, the plan is that they would end up starting a family together, as they had once planned.
If you want to create and play Nodin, reply to this or send me a PM. A tryout will be required, but only a short one to see if you can portray his personality correctly.

Perhaps, if it would be all right, I am interested in playing this character for you.

Of course. You do have to pass the tryout, though. You can find an example of one in this thread (the 7th reply). It portrays Nodin in the way that I most like. He has to be a pretty headstrong character, and his speech isn't going to be highly sophisticated since he tends to be a little less intelligent than some. All you have to do is post a tryout and I'll let you know if I think you can play him or not.

Thank you, Anyu. I'll get to it later today. Also, would it be preferable to you that I use on of the two scenarios you provided in the thread? And, since Kerr used scenario number two, would you prefer me to use the first one?

You can do whatever you want. You don't have to use one of the scenarios that I provided. Those were just ideas for Kerr. Whatever you feel most comfortable with writing. All I ask is that it shows his personality in some way - so maybe put him in a situation where he has to interact with another wolf, or a situation that requires a powerful reaction like the one that Kerr used. I would prefer that you use a different scenario than Kerr, though, just because you've read a description of it already and I don't want you to subconsciously copy it.

All right, here goes.
When the meeting had finally ended, Nodin stalked away in anger and resisted the urge to lash out and strike some innocent being. It pissed him off to no extent the shit that the higher ranking wolves of this pack managed to pull, even more so when no one bothered to do anything about it. His tail lashed back and forth, swishing in the still, heavy air of the dead night. His fur bristled in rage and his lip peeled over his gums as he bared his fangs at nothing in particular. He was alone at the moment, able to freely express his fury without being told not to. He truly despised the higher ups of his pack. His ear twitched upon hearing a slight rustle in the brush and his head turned towards it, snarl diminishing, though the tips of his canines poke out from his mouth.
A growl was preparing itself to leap from his throat, but something seemed to block it when he recognized the form and the fur, as well as the gait of the thin legs. His brow knitted in confusion, "Airen...?" and he stepped in her direction, watching as she cast a glance back, not seeing him and bolting off as silent as a mouse. Where was she going at a time like this? Slowly and carefully, he gazed around, being sure no one was to see him as he slunk through the underbrush after her. He lost sight soon and broke into a run. However, because she was much faster than him, he knew there wasn't much chance in hell he was going to catch up, but he had to try.
His legs stretched out and pumped as hard as they could, propelling him through the forest in a blur, paws pounding against the dirt and scattering it as he went. Branches tugged at his gray fur, making him curse under his breath, and the roots attempted to catch his paws. "Damn it...!" He growled, then realized at that point they were too far for the others to hear, unless they howled of course. He certainly didn't plan on doing so. "Airen!" Nodin felt a glare take over his features when he received no reply. "Airen!!!" He jumped over a bush to avoid getting tangled and, in doing so, nearly collided with a now halted Airen.
He dug his heels into the ground, managing to stop before barreling her over. It didn't seem that she would have moved, regardless. Nodin straightened himself and tried to relax his expression. "Airen, where the hell are you going at a time like this?" Airen seemed to conflict a moment before telling him, but the words came rather quickly, "Go home, Nodin!" He blinked, confused at first, but snapped at her, "Not until you tell me what's going on!" Shit... The thought echoed in his head. His heart fluttered in his chest, suddenly feeling regret for acting towards her in such a way. In an instant, he would have taken it back to apologize to his best friend, but it was too late now.
Despite the sadness lingering in her gaze, he wasn't at all surprised when she retaliated, "I'm leaving this place, Nodin! Now, go home!" She turned tail and began stalking away, fur on end. Nodin stared in disbelief, in shock. Why the hell would she want to leave? In a moment, the answer presented itself in his head: the pack was full of a bunch of bastards who wanted to ruin everyone else's lives. Other than that, not much else seemed to make sense, and that was the only good reason she had to be leaving. He comprehended it too fast and made a hasted decision, not caring much if the outcome was bad, but he couldn't leave her alone.
Nodin propelled himself forward, fast enough to stop in front of her and cease her walking. He stood tall, wearing a smile on his face, speaking before she could, "I won't let you go on your own! Let me come with you! Please, Airen?" He knew there was really no reason to beg. Hell, he'd follow her anyways even if she said no and escorted him back to the camp herself. Airen watched him for several seconds, obviously debating what to do with the reckless furball before her. However, he was her best friend, and she couldn't say no. A smile came to her face as well and she gave a laugh, "All right, all right! Let's go!" She trotted around him and glanced back at him once, beginning to run through the night again. Nodin pricked his ears and waved his tail happily, following after her, beginning the new life with his best friend, the girl he loved.
Phew, it took me a while to think of something adequate to post about, but I managed to do it. ^_^ Hope you like.

That's pretty good. Before I go saying yes to anything, however, I want to make sure that you have an understanding of Airen and Nodin's history together as well as Airen's personality.
Their history is pretty basic, so I'll just give you a short time line. If you haven't already, it would be a good idea to read the history in Airen's biography.
• Airen & Nodin become good friends during their time in the pack they were born in.
• Airen, tired of her pack's practices and scared of what will happen if she stays, leaves the pack.
• Nodin followers her.
• After quite a bit of traveling, Nodin starts to court her, though he liked her since they were young.
• After some convincing, Airen admits her feelings for Nodin and they 'fall in love'.
• After some time together, they agree to start a family.
• Before they have a chance to start a family they are separated by a fire.
• Airen ends up in Everfrost - what happened to Nodin after the fire is up to you.
As for Airen's personality, she tends to be very insecure, especially around males. The males in her pack were very dominant and restrictive of the females, often being abusive. She is afraid that all males are like that, and Nodin had a very hard time convincing her that was not true. Since then she has gone back to her view that all males are the same and will hurt her if they have the chance to. So she tends to be very shy and will run from anyone that scares her too much, if she is able to run.
In you're post, her reactions would have been a bit different from what you described (but that doesn't matter since you aren't playing her - I am. I just want to be sure tings are clear). In the fourth paragraph, where you had Nodin snap at her, she probably would have shrunk down towards the ground, as if she were trying to get as far away from him as possible without actually leaving. His snapping would have frightened her quite a bit and she definitely would have flinched almost immediately. She would have recovered, but when she had next spoken to him her voice would have been shaky and weaker. In the last paragraph, where he asked if he could go with her, she would have continued to say no, but wouldn't have tried to stop him. She wouldn't have acted happy in any way that he was going along, since she felt that it was putting him in danger and she did not like that.
I don't really see any problems. You used his two favorite swear words, Damn it and Shit, which is good. He usually doesn't use some of the harsher ones, but he does occasionally.
Something to keep in mind is that he isn't supposed to be the brightest crayon in the box, so to speak, so he's not gonna be out there planning battles and sounding all smart. In fact, he's liable to make a bunch of stupid mistakes and piss people off, including Airen. His speech should be simple. Airen's will probably be more sophisticated.
In conclusion...I'm fine with you adopting him. You seem to be able to play him quite well. Feel free to create him whenever you are ready. In the meantime, I am on the search for a wolf that can threaten Airen in some way so Nodin can come in an save the day. I have an open thread with her, and I will let you know when I need you to reply to that.
Oh, something else to keep in mind is that Airen isn't interested in joining a pack just yet, though she may want to later on. It would take some convincing to get her to. But, that means that Nodin shouldn't be off joining packs, either. Not until she's ready to also join one. And, since I play Rostyn, it would have to be Crandell, Glacier, or Kintla. Since Crandell and Glacier tend to be more mountainous, Kintla will probably be the best option, but that's something to think about later on.

Critique is always a good thing and I appreciate it. I honestly didn't think to look at Airen's bio and see what her personality was like, I'll have to go do that. But, I had fun playing him. He's much different than Braelyn's character, that's for sure, and I've never played a male before. I'll get to making his biography soon.
