It was a generally clear day, the sun beaming its warming rays of cheer down onto the beautiful land. Against the pastel blue sky, a few wisps of white cotton drifted softly on the gentle breeze. The mountains in the distance stood tall and proud, some even capped with sparkling white snow. The grasses and tree branches gave a light sway to dance with the wind, and everything was in bloom. The bright colors created a beautiful scenery, making it very pretty and usually calming to look at. It was a beautiful day, no doubt, and one that a certain female was not about to waste. She loved days like this and wished there were more of them, as she usually got stuck with a lot of clouds or rain or snow. Sunny days made her happy. Well, happier than usual.
Elektra's small paws carried her towards the alluring scent of the numerous flowers, allowing the sun to warm her bright reddish-brown pelt. The red became more obvious towards her spine, but was so dark that it often appeared black, just as the color on her tail tip. She wasn't all dark in color, though. The white socks upon her feet were certainly out of place, and they would definitely blend in with the snow. Her overly large ears swiveled back and forth, the black tufts inside of them seeming to pick up whatever noise the world made, acting almost as antennae, sensitive to any vibration that a single movement made. Her pink nose twitched and wiggled, picking up the scents that surrounded her, as well as the territory markers that had been made.
She knew she was trespassing and she knew it could possibly end bad for her, but she needed to join a pack. She didn't necessarily want to return to her old one, having failed her mother in her promise to her. She still had half a year left regardless, but she certainly did not want to return as a failure. She had a healing power, so it caused her to wonder if she would be of use to the pack here. She had wandered close to other packlands, but didn't care for them. This one had definitely caught her attention, especially with the beautiful field of thousands of flowers she had just approached. Her walking stopped, and her breath was sucked right from her lungs, almost as if there was no more air used to breathe. The flowers were everywhere, of all sorts of colors, and Elektra couldn't help but stand there and stare at them.
ooc: Sorry for the short and crappy post, it will be better with a reply. I just have to go now.

As lazy as he could be at times, Rostyn did patrol the territory when he felt that he needed to. Every so often he made a circuit around the borders, marking areas that needed to be marked and searching for any signs of disturbance. Today was such a day. It was a good day for a stroll through his territory. The sun was out and the weather was warm and inviting. It was too uncomfortable for him to sleep during the day, so he was more active during the summer months. His white fur was thick, but it reflected a lot of the sun as well. He stayed just as warm or as cool as any other average wolf did, for the most part.
Today was one of those days when he did make it a point to patrol as much of the border as he possibly could. He worked on renewing some of the old scent markers here and there, moving quickly along the border and looking for signs that anyone had crossed it. He didn’t need to look for paw prints; scent would be enough to tell him if anyone had crossed his markers. His progress was quick; Nyack did not gain many visitors, with the exception of wolves (almost all female) who came to find a place to stay. He had lost track of the females that he had allowed to join the pack over the time that he had been in control. For some reason they were attracted to the territory.
He stopped when he suddenly picked up the scent of a wolf that he did not recognize. It was a relatively strong scent, meaning that whoever had left it had crossed the border recently. “A trespasser,” said a voice in his head. “Kill it!” Rostyn shook his head. For some reason there was a voice that he had been unable to block. He knew that it was the voice of a dead wolf that he was hearing and he hated it. He tried to block them out on purpose, but this one was finding a way past his defenses and he didn’t know why. On top of all of that, he felt that he knew this voice for some reason.
Choosing to ignore the voice – it had fallen silent after making it’s suggestion – Rostyn began to track the scent, which could not have been very old. It was leading him towards Two Medicine Valley, a place where many wolves stopped when they decided to trespass into his territory. He wasn’t sure yet if he was irritated with this stranger or not. From the scent, he was fairly certain it was another female. That seemed to soften his thoughts of the stranger a little, though he knew that some females were just as dangerous and just as irksome as some males were. He had not forgotten some of the females he had met when he had originally taken over Nyack.
He stopped when he could see the female in the distance, looking at the flowers that adorned his glorious valley. He did not think she would notice him, so he moved quietly forward a little further, then cleared his throat. “Excuse me, but are you aware that you are tresapassing.”

OOC: It's all right. However, I'm leaving on July 9th (tomorrow) and this will be Elektra's last post for two weeks. I'll reply again upon returning.
The joyous day warmed her heart considerably, as well as her fur. It thawed out her skin and her eyes sparkled in the bright light. The flowers were stunningly gorgeous and the light of the sun only added to their beauty. They painted a picture perfect scene, one that would stick in one's mind without fault, an everlasting image. Elektra smiled at the thought, deciding to trap the picture in her mind and keep it there, willing to draw it forward in times of tough emotion or severe stress as a place to find solace. Of course, if she managed to gain a home in the lands she was standing on, then an image in her mind would not be needed. The small Red Wolf was fast and agile, so, if needed, the field would be no problem to her to reach quickly. She stepped forward and lowered her head, sticking her pale pink nose into one of the flowers.
She could not drink in much of its scent, however, when another came to her olfactories. It was much stronger than the flowers but only because it stood out against them, seeming to land on her light a heavy weight or a large boulder. Her head snapped up from the flower her nose had been in, causing it to sway harshly as she did so, and her sky colored eyes quickly spotted the intruder of her serenity. Just based on the scent, as well as the distinct voice, the white wolf was definitely a male. Other than that, he was several times larger than she was, and she made sure to make a note of that. She was extremely small for a wolf, sometimes mistaken for a young one, but the five year old healer could be mistaken for a pup next to another wolf who was bigger than her. She was lucky if she found a wolf who was relatively her size.
Elektra straightened her posture and tossed him a bright smile, as she did per usual whenever meeting someone else. It was just a customary thing she had picked up over her years, as well as something she had learned was useful when treating her patients. Those who were injured always preferred a sweet and kind healer rather than a moody and mean one. At first, it had been difficult for her to learn, but she had adjusted to it rather quickly. "Hello~!" She chirped cheerily, her voice rather high pitched for her age. As she brought the though to mind, she sat down on her haunches. "Don't let my size and voice fool you. I'm much older than most think." The words had often helped her out when meeting a new wolf. However, it often occurred to her that some wolves would not attack one who looked too young to fight. When she said what she did, it often provoked them.
Her face became slightly serious, though her smile still remained. "I'm sorry to say that I am aware of my trespassing. I smelled the markers clearly and I made the conscious decision to cross over them and into the territory. For that, I apologize." She lowered her head in a deep bow to the male to reveal her sincerity in the statement, then steadily lifted her head back to attempt to meet his gaze. Her eyes were unwavering and it would seem she was not afraid of the male, but it was quite the opposite. She had never learned to fight because she was not coordinated enough to do so, and she had more speed than strength. This male would more than likely crush in her an instant of a fight. "I only trespass because of the little predicament I am in. I promised my mother I would travel for two years to find another pack to live in and, if I hadn't, then I would return to her. I am halfway into my second year and have found nothing that appeals to me. I know there is a pack here, but would you happen to be the alpha?"
