Jahali is different from all other land on the planet Earth, and from any other lands that might exist not on earth. It is a place where spirits of humans long dead somehow find themselves, born into a being utterly different from their previous form: a bird. All birds in Jahali that began as humans are one of three: Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, or Hawk.There's only one thing different with their existence, however. They live forever. A stranger arrived one day, who wouldn't give his name, came with a proposal. When the sides come to a compromise, he will come and change it to what it is wanted to be. Until then, every other month, when birds die in that month, they will not rise again. This will continue until a decision or compromise has been reached. They began to split, the sides wandering into the lands where their ideas were most prominent, the Kahlu Mountains, mostly dominated by those who didn't want a never-ending existance, and the Nvevier Forest, mostly dominated by those spirit-turned birds who wanted to live forever.
