in a land built on hope. . .The year is 2023. For the small town of Violet Hill, everything is about to change. The doomsday clock that has been relied to predict the next nuclear war is facing its final use. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, destruction rears its ugly head as the United States fights the heated battle of World War III with the middle eastern country's. The war recked havoc as many city's are struck by poverty, crime, and the threat of enemy soldiers touching land. Thousands are killed, and there seems to be no promising light in this bloody battle. While the destruction progresses, so does the risk of anarchy. Who will be safe?
Tucked into a tiny corner of the world, a town called Violet Hill is located near the northern point of California in the middle of no-where. But to the townsfolk and the animals who inhabit here, it is paradise. But as time passes, fewer and fewer people are seen coming the into town, and even fewer leaving. Slowly people are disappearing, making the town even quieter. Groups of dogs are joining together and roaming the streets. Even the wolves, ancient protectors of the woods are threatening to expend territory. Many strangers, fellow people and animals from lands farther out tell story's of danger to come. All this tension is leaving the town with a nervous atmosphere.
How can they even survive?
. . . how long do they hope to hold out?
