In the forest, the four Clans are as peaceful as Clan life gets - the typical, ShadowClan against ThunderClan, the food rivalry that spreads in Leaf-bare, blossoming into prosperity during New-leaf and Green-leaf, but what they have yet to discover is that a deep, and dark betrayal is awaiting them all. The four Clans may have met their match.
Midnight, or as her warrior name suggests, Midnighthowl, is a ShadowClan warrior who was born and raised beyond the familiar, comforting forest. She's planning to ruin everything the Clans have built for themselves. Her life was the true epitome of diaster and insanity and now she wants to spread it, envious of the Clans' humble lives, she wants them to feel how she did - lost, and empty with nothing but the skin on their back. Against anyone's knowledge of her plotting, she meets up with an old friend in hopes that he can help her rise up an army twice the forests' size in order to accomplish her high goals.
She aims to gather rogues, loners and other cats who are strangers among a sea of cats, cats who are misfits in their Clans, to join her, and push the Clans to the edge. This is the Coterie.
